I have a Dental Blue® plan and am looking for a dental care provider outside Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. Which network should I choose?
To find providers outside the Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire networks, choose "DenteMax Network of Dentists" from the drop-down menu. (Please note that these providers are not available for dental benefits provided under medical coverage.)
I have a medical plan. What network should I use to search for a dentist, oral surgeon, or orthodontist for my pediatric dental benefit?
Search the Dental Blue network. Be sure the provider is identified as having a participation agreement with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Dental care providers whose participation agreement is with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island are not available for dental benefits provided under medical coverage.
If I have a Medicare HMO Blue® (Blue Care® 65) plan which network should I choose?
Use the Medicare HMO Blue® network.
If I have dental care benefits through Medicare PPO Blue plan, which network should I choose?
Use the Medicare PPO Blue network
I have a medical plan. Which network should I use to search for oral surgeons?
For your oral surgery benefit, use the network name that corresponds to the plan name in the upper right corner of your member ID card.
For your pediatric dental benefit, use the Dental Blue network.
How do I search for an individual provider by name?
Include any apostrophe, period, space, or hyphen in the provider's name. For the fastest, most accurate results, enter the provider's complete name. If you enter a partial name, a list of provider names that start with those letters will be returned.
Apostrophe
Enter "O'Connor" rather than "OConnor"
Period
Enter "St. James" rather than "St James"
Enter "R. William" rather than "R William"
Space/Hyphen
If you include a hyphen in the provider's name and your search is not successful, try entering the name with a space instead of the hyphen. If you include a space in the provider's name and your search is not successful, try entering the name with a hyphen instead of the space.
When searching for a facility/non-individual provider by name:
Include any apostrophes, periods, spaces, or hyphens in the facility name. For the fastest, most accurate results, enter the entire facility name. If you enter a partial name, a list of organizations with similar names will be returned.
Apostrophe
Enter "Brigham & Women's Hospital" rather than "Brigham & Womens Hospital." However, if you include an apostrophe in the provider's name and your search is not successful, try entering the name without the apostrophe.
Period
Enter "St. Elizabeth's Medical Center" rather than "St Elizabeth's Medical Center." However, if you include a period in the provider's name and your search is not successful, try entering the name without the period.
Space/Hyphen
Enter "Dana-Farber Cancer Institute" rather than "Dana Farber Cancer Institute." If you include a hyphen in the provider's name and your search is not successful, try entering the name with a space instead of the hyphen. If you include a space in the provider's name and your search is not successful, try entering the name with no space or with a hyphen instead of the space.
How do I find a nearby provider using an address?

- If you would like to search from a specific street address, choose one of these methods for entering the location:
- Complete address including street address, town/city, state, and zip code
